Design History:
This design was part of the original series of forty-eight designs completed by October 1931 and was also included in later reprintings. The example images were taken with the same camera under similar conditions. Version III copies typically do differ somewhat in printing technique and ink color from earlier version copies. (However, the roughly triangular reddish shape on the sheath below the yellow flower is a printing flaw on this copy only.)

The design of the canna in the Hodo/Takemura Floral Series was closely copied from this print (see below)
